UBS Medal

Donated in 1989 by Swiss Bank Corporation, the medal is awarded from the proceeds of a capital sum of $10,000 to the most outstanding student in Bank Management who has also excelled in the overall Bachelor of Business Administration Honours Examination.

  1. The medal is awarded by the Board of Undergraduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.
  2. No award is made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

 

University Medals

First donated in 1970 by the Singapore Dental Association, two medals are awarded on the results of the Second Professional B.D.S. Examination (main) as follows:

  1. The bronze medal to the student who is second in the Examination;
  2. The silver medal to the student who is first in the Examination.

In 1972, two further medals were made available for award from the proceeds of a capital sum of $1,500 donated by Mr Cheah Cheng Kooi. These medals are awarded on the results of the Final Professional B.D.S. Examination (main) as follows:

  1. (a) The bronze medal to the student who is second in the Examination. 
    (b) The silver medal to the student who is first in the Examination.
  2. The medals are awarded by the Board of Undergraduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.
  3. No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.

 

URA Urban Design Prize

In 2012, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) donated an expendable sum of S$15,000 for the establishment of the URA Urban Design Prize.

A cash prize of S$1,000 will be awarded in each academic year to a BA (Architecture) graduating student attaining the highest average mark in the Urban Design related courses listed below. The award will be given out from the Academic Year 2012/13 to 2026/2027.

The award is governed by the following conditions:

  1. Subject to rule 3, the award will be presented to a deserving graduating student in the Bachelor of Arts (Architecture) program who has achieved the highest average mark for AR3223 Introduction to Urbanism and AR5601 Urban Design Theory and Praxis.
  2. The student must also obtain a minimum grade of A- in both courses. In case of a tie in the courses' highest average mark, the student with the highest GPA will be awarded.
  3. No award will be made unless there is a candidate of sufficient merit.
  4. The award will be awarded by the Board of Undergraduate Studies on the recommendation of the relevant Board of Examiners.
  5. This gift shall be governed by the University Statutes and Regulations, specifically, Statute 7 on Gifts to the University and the corresponding Regulation.
