Degree Scrolls

Students who have completed all degree requirements and have been conferred/awarded their degrees or graduate diplomas will be issued degree scrolls.


E-degree scrolls and e-transcripts are issued to graduates who were conferred their degrees from July 2019 onwards. An email containing the e-documents will be sent to your NUS Lifelong email account within two weeks from your date of confermentYour e-degree scroll and e-transcript will be withheld if there is a “Hold” on your record.

Your degree scrolls and complimentary official transcripts will be available for collection according to the following periods:

  • Early collection period before Commencement ceremonies.
    • Please refer to the table below to check if you are eligible for early collection.
    • You may still attend Commencement ceremonies if you collect the documents earlier.
  • During the annual Commencement ceremonies in July.
  • The first Monday following the last day of Commencement ceremonies onwards.
    • For those who are not attending Commencement ceremonies.
    • If the first Monday is a Public Holiday, then the documents will be available for collection on the next working day instead.
    • For self-collection or collection by proxy at Registrar’s Office, appointment can only be made 1 working day before the scheduled date upon receiving an email (in your NUS Lifelong Email Account).

Your degree scroll will be withheld if there is a “Hold” on your record. You can log in to myEduRec to check for any “Hold(s)” and contact the relevant office to work out the necessary rectification.

If you are a graduate from prior Commencement years but have not collected your degree scroll(s) and transcript(s), you may collect them from the Registrar’s Office throughout the year.

Note: To minimize congregation of crowds at Registrar’s Office, you must make an appointment for self-collection or collection by proxy 


  1. In Person/By Proxy

    Graduates may self-collect or appoint a proxy to collect the degree scroll and transcript at Registrar’s Office by appointment only. Registrar’s Office is open from Monday to Friday (except on Public Holidays).

    Graduates who were conferred their degrees on 30 June 2019 and earlier:

    Graduates who were conferred their degrees from 31 July 2019 onwards:

    Please click here to make an appointment:
    • You can start making an appointment only about ONE month from your eligible collection period (see ‘When can I collect my hard-copy Degree Scroll?’ for eligible collection period).
    • The login name is your NUS email address (e.g. E0123456@u.nus.edu)
    • Please complete an online form here if you are authorizing a proxy to collect the degree scroll and transcript on your behalf:
      • You will receive an email notification after you have submitted the form.
      • Forward the email notification and a copy of your NRIC or Passport to your proxy to present for verification during collection.
      • Your proxy should also bring his/her own NRIC or Passport for identification during collection.

    Your degree scroll will be withheld if there is a ‘Hold’ on your record.

  2. By Courier
    You may also request for the degree scroll and complimentary transcript to be sent to you by courier at a charge. However, the University would not be able to replace the degree scroll should it be lost or irreversibly damaged in the mail. Please note that once your request for delivery by post has been submitted, the payment is non-refundable.

    • Proof of transaction (e.g. screenshot of the transaction) is required to be uploaded.
    • Your request will only be processed after payment is successfully cleared by our bank.

    All payment must be in Singapore Dollars. Please make payment by one of the following means below:
    • SGD14.00 (for addresses IN Singapore only); or
    • SGD60.00 (for addresses OUTSIDE of Singapore)

The University does not normally issue a replacement degree scroll if the original one is destroyed or misplaced. Instead, a letter certifying that the student is a graduate of the University will be issued.  For information on certification letters, please click here.
