Programme Prerequisites

 

Admission to the University will be considered holistically based on academic merit, non-academic achievements, and additional interviews/tests (if required), as well as open competition among all eligible applicants.

Applicants, regardless of nationality, may apply with a diploma from one of the following polytechnics or institutions in Singapore:

Polytechnics
  • Nanyang Polytechnic
  • Ngee Ann Polytechnic
  • Republic Polytechnic
  • Singapore Polytechnic
  • Temasek Polytechnic
Institutions
  • BCA Academy
  • Institute of Technical Education (Work-Study Diploma)
  • LASALLE College of the Arts
  • Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)

Application Information

  • In addition to fulfilling the admission requirements, applicants should refer to the programme prerequisites to ensure that their diploma is accredited for the programme(s) they wish to be considered for.

  • Selected programmes also require Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level results or equivalent, if available, to fulfil the programme prerequisites.

  • For programmes requiring additional interviews/tests, applicants will be assessed based on their performance at the interviews and/or tests.

  • Applicants may refer to the latest Indicative Grade Profile (IGP) to make an informed decision on the programmes when applying for admission.

  • Polytechnic diploma holders admitted to a 3 or 4 year programme may be granted advanced placement credits (APCs) in relevant courses for up to a maximum of 40 units. More information can be found here.

Completing Diploma in 2026

  • Apply with diploma results from the first five semesters.

  • You are eligible to apply for admission if you will be graduating from your diploma course before the commencement of the Academic Year 2026-2027 on 3 August 2026.

  • Upon meeting the admissions selection criteria, you will receive an offer contingent upon the submission of your final semester's results as proof of your diploma completion.

  • If you are a graduating student with results from only four semesters (due to final year project or internship, etc.), you may apply with your cumulative results from the first four semesters. You are required to submit the final two semesters' results to complete your application.

  • After the release of your final semester exam results, we will email you with instructions on submission procedures.
