English Placement Test (EPT)
Students in the undergraduate programme from the Yong Siew Toh Music Conservatory (YSTCM), who do not possess the necessary English language qualifications are required to sit for the English Placement Test (EPT) set by the Centre for English Language Communication (CELC). Please take note that a student can only sit for the EPT once.
The EPT for Academic Year 2023/2024 is scheduled as follows:

2. | The EPT will be conducted in digital format using Zoom + Examplify. | As the EPT will be conducted in digital format, students are required to attend the compulsory briefing session on 14 July 2023 (Fri) at 2pm.
For the briefing and the actual test, students are required to prepare:

3. | Preparation for the Briefing Session | It is compulsory for students to attend the EPT/Examplify briefing before they are allowed to take the EPT.
Before attending the briefing session, students must:
(Access to the Examplify software will be granted after 13 July 2023.)
The briefing session will be conducted via Zoom. Students must join the briefing session using their mobile phone. |

Zoom session for EPT |
You will receive an email on Friday 14 July 2023 (by 5 pm) to inform you of the Zoom meeting link and password to the session.

5. | Sitting for the EPT test | Students must report to their assigned group in Zoom at the respective reporting time. Students will need to have their identification document with photo (e.g. Student Card, NRIC, Passport) for identity verification purpose before being allowed to sit for the test. |
