About this Programme

The Master of Arts in English Communication Teaching is a programme that equips educators with skills required to meet the pedagogical demands of today’s global classrooms.

Grounded in current scholarship and systematic inquiry, the programme enables participants to critically evaluate evidence, undertake practice-based research, and translate research into principled classroom practice across schools, international institutions, and specialist enrichment contexts.

Our Unique Features

  • Focuses on how English is taught and learned in the context of using English as the Medium of Instruction (EMI) .
  • Addresses issues related to the use and integration of AI tools in teaching and learning, grounded in pedagogical and AI-use frameworks.
  • Includes a practicum component which offers close mentorship in student engagement, curriculum and materials design, and assessment; as well as an opportunity to teach a real class.

To be eligible for credit transfer at all stages, students must maintain an average CAP of at least 3.00 for the courses they wish to transfer. Any remaining courses must then be completed to meet the MA in ECT graduation requirements.
