To address the evolving nature of work in the digital age, Singapore has passed a Platform Workers Bill. According to Dr Mathew Mathews, Head of Social Lab and Principal Research Fellow from the Institute of Policy Studies, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, the most significant of the protections granted by the Act are CPF contributions, which are crucial for home ownership and retirement planning in Singapore.
