Signs of fragmentation have begun to emerge in the digital economy. Researchers Ms Jesslene Lee, Ms Thi Hang Banh and Mr Tan Kway Guan, from the Asia Competitiveness Institute at the NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, assert that as a forerunner in the formation of digital economy agreements, Singapore has the opportunity to spearhead the development of coherent digital trade rules and lead stakeholders toward shared priorities and economic integration.
