It was announced that the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (Dorscon) framework would be reviewed  as the public announcement of Dorscon levels had the unintended consequence of inducing public anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Associate Professor Hsu Li Yang, Vice Dean of Global Health at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, highlighted that the public and the government agencies should have the same understanding of what each level means and perhaps more importantly, the criteria for moving between levels.
