The familiar “30 by 30” target is being replaced with more focused goals: 20 per cent for fibre and 30 per cent for protein by 2035. Mr Bjorn Low, part-time lecturer at the NUS College of Design and Engineering and founder of Edible Garden City, an urban farming social enterprise, shares his insights on how, beyond consumer behaviour, we need to treat food resilience as part of our national safety net and galvanise a deeper shift from food security to food sovereignty, which is not only about supply, but participation, dignity and agency.
