In Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s National Day Rally speech, he spoke about the importance of the continued development of Terminal 5 to Singapore’s long-term development plans for the aviation sector. With the uptick in Singapore’s inbound travel, the resumption of Changi Airport's expansion is timely and Singapore will have a first-mover advantage by expanding its airport now, said Dr Faizal Yahya, a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Policy Studies, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, NUS.
