Calling all students! Want to make your communication skills more visible, observable, and employability-relevant?

Join CommCircle.
A small group peer practice circle where you can try, refine, and build confidence in workplace communication in a supportive, low-stakes environment. You’re welcome to experiment, make mistakes, and learn through practice and feedback. CommCircle enables students to develop and demonstrate communication competencies valued by employers through practice, feedback, and real-world communication scenarios.

What to expect

In each session, trained CommPeers (top performers from CommsLab, CFG1600/S) will facilitate practice and provide structured, actionable feedback to help you develop, demonstrate, and articulate communication competencies that employers value.

You can work on areas such as:

  • Speaking and interpersonal communication
  • Influencing and persuasion
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Structured thinking and clear articulation
  • Executive presence
  • Managing communication anxiety in high-stakes situations

What you need to prepare

To benefit fully from the session, please come prepared with a piece of communication you want to practise and get feedback on. You have flexibility in what you bring. Examples include:

  • Career and employer pitches (based on real job descriptions)
  • Stakeholder presentations
  • Internship reflections
  • Influencing without authority

Sessions run every Wednesday of even weeks.

Registration

Sign up via this MSForm. Slots are first-come, first-served, and limited to keep group sizes small and feedback high quality. If you’re allocated a slot, CommPeers will send you a confirmation email with the session details.
