Hear from our NUS Career Fest Ambassadors!

On the fence about attending NUS Career Fest 2026? Watch our Student Ambassadors (Zyon, Ting Fung, and Dnyaneshwari) go head-to-head in a quick-fire True-or-False game show as they bust common career myths and share practical pro tips that helped them become future-ready.

If you’re still unconvinced, here’s how NUS Career Fest helped each of them stay future-proof, confident, prepared and learn how it can do the same for you.

Having attended multiple career fairs, I was curious to experience NUS Career Fest from behind the scenes as a Student Ambassador. The role allowed me to represent the student voice, understanding students’ needs and helping shape a more relevant and engaging experience for them.

Through this journey, I was able to fully experience what NUS Career Fest has to offer, from LinkedIn profile photos to meaningful conversations with career coaches. What stood out this year was the creativity and innovation, especially a student-developed game that introduced CFG’s career resources in a fun and interactive way. To me, NUS Career Fest is all about exploring opportunities, networking, and gaining exposure. My advice to fellow students is to come prepared, do your research, and make full use of the many resources available to support your career journey.

– Zyon Aaronel Wee Zhun Wei, SOC Year 4 Student

Becoming a Student Ambassador for NUS Career Fest gave me the opportunity to represent NUS while engaging directly with a wide range of employers across industries. It was a meaningful way to bridge students and industry, and to embody the professionalism, values, and culture that NUS stands for.

The experience boosted my confidence from speaking on camera to interacting naturally with employers and deepened my understanding of Singapore’s job market. I see NUS Career Fest as an inspiring and highly productive platform that helps students explore career possibilities, prepare more intentionally, and build genuine connections. My advice to fellow students is to come prepared, arrive early, engage confidently, and treat NUS Career Fest as a valuable networking opportunity that sets the foundation for future applications.

– Raut Dnyaneshwari Sanjay, FASS Masters student

Reflecting on my journey as a Student Ambassador has given me greater clarity in my own career path. Looking back at moments of uncertainty and the actions I took to move forward, reaffirmed my belief that progress comes from having the right mindset and being willing to take initiative.

Personally, NUS Career Fest is an eye-opening and pivotal platform that helps students explore both familiar and emerging industries, made possible by NUS’ strong and long-standing industry connections. With AI reshaping roles across sectors, this year’s NUS Career Fest feels especially timely not just as a recruitment event, but as a space for students to gain real-world insights into how industries are evolving.

My advice to fellow students is to stay open-minded, step out of your comfort zone to start conversations, and make full use of resources like resume reviews and talking to employers to get the most out of the experience.

– Siew Ting Fung, NUS Business School Alumnus
