A/Prof Hyungwon Choi, the director of SLING since August 2023, has been appointed Chair of Cardiovascular Metabolic Diseases Translational Research Programme (CVMD TRP). He will integrate his systems biology and multi-omic clinical biomarker research portfolio with the TRP’s expanding basic science and clinical research programs.

Dr. Federico Torta, a principal investigator of SLING and director of the lipidomics lab of the national mass spectrometry platform SingMass, has been appointed as the director of Duke-NUS Metabolomics Facility.

A part of the new IAF-ICP project is focused on harmonizing experimental protocols and sharing analytical expertise between SLING and Duke-NUS facility under his leadership. The two labs are institutionally supported in part as a virtual collaboration unit called Systems Metabolomics Centre (website in production).
