Event Details

In 2023, Singapore witnessed a dramatic 500% increase in instances of deepfakes, underscoring a growing concern in the digital age. Deepfakes, created using sophisticated artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning techniques, have reached a level of realism that makes distinguishing between authentic and fabricated content increasingly challenging. The scariest part? Anyone can be a target of a deepfake.

This panel discussion aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of deepfakes, examining the significant risks they pose. By bringing together experts from technology, academia, and law, the discussion will explore how society can navigate the complex landscape of deepfakes, balancing innovation with the need for security and trust.
