NUS Enterprise, the entrepreneurial heart of the National University of Singapore (NUS) will be unveiling its revitalised i3 building on 16 September 2025. A vibrant new hub for entrepreneurial collaboration and deep tech innovation, this landmark event forms a key highlight of NUS's 120th anniversary celebrations.

A Celebration of Entrepreneurial Excellence

As part of the event, NUS Enterprise will bring together leading entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and policymakers for a day of insightful plenary sessions, panel discussions, and a showcase of start-up innovations.

Featured highlights of the day include:

  • Powerhouse Line-Up of Visionary Speakers: Hear from over 20 world-class experts and influential leaders shaping the future of innovation, technology, and venture capital. Featured luminaries include:
    • Prof Alberto Sangiovanni Vincentelli – Edgar L. and Harold H. Buttner Chair at UC Berkeley, co-founded Cadence and Synopsys—leaders worth over USD 180 billion. He turned academic research into groundbreaking technologies that drive modern electronics and the global tech economy, earning top honours like the IEEE Maxwell Medal.
    • Ms Jenny Lee – Senior Managing Partner at Granite Asia, widely acknowledged as a top global venture capitalist driving major tech investments in Asia and beyond. She led early investments in Alibaba, Didi, Xiaomi, Toutiao and Grab; and become one of the first women to break into Forbes’ top 10 VC “Midas List”.
    • Prof Oussama Khatib – Director of Stanford Robotics Lab, is a robotics pioneer known for key advances in robot control and created innovative systems such as the OceanOne underwater robot. A prolific author and award winner and a global leader in robotics innovation.
    • Mr Fred Farina – Chief Innovation and Corporate Partnerships Officer at Caltech, expert in fostering academic-industry collaboration in a top-tier research institution. He built Caltech’s tech transfer from the ground up since 1995, evolving from licensing to venture creation.
    • Dr Guido Appenzeller – Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, a top global venture capital firm known for cutting-edge tech investments. Formerly CTO at Intel and VMware, he built VMware’s Cloud & Networking division, scaling NSX into a USD 1 billion product. He also co-founded startups acquired by major firms.
    • Dr Krishna Palem – Founding CEO, Accelequant, is a leader in quantum computing and energy-efficient architectures, known for pioneering inexact computing and advancing commercial quantum software.
