With calls to amplify the role of Singapore’s younger generation in society, alongside changing needs and aspirations, we look have to look both inward and outward to understand the roles to play in shaping the future. Mr Edward Chia (Arts and Social Sciences '09)
Member of Parliament (MP) for Holland–Bukit Timah GRC
Co-founder and Managing Director, Timbre Group.
Mr Edward Chia co-founded the Timbre Group while he was pursuing his undergraduate studies at NUS. Through his work at Timbre, he has been supporting and developing Singapore musicians and culinary talents for the past 14 years. He also serves as the co-chair of an NEA work group on sustaining the hawker trade, and sits on the board of the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Council. In the 2020 Singapore General Elections, Mr Chia was elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Holland–Bukit Timah GRC for Zhenghua.
