The UTown Residence (UTR) Residential Life Team assists the Master to oversee the well-being, community standards, and overall quality of residential life for students residing in UTR. The teams collaborates closely with the NUS Housing Services office, Resident Fellows, and UTR student leaders to create a safe, comfortable, and harmonious living environment for students; fostering an atmosphere where students can connect meaningfully with their peers, engage in enriching experiences and make lasting friendships.

Dr Kuan Yee Han

Dr Kuan Yee Han is a Senior Lecturer at Tembusu College, NUS, and concurrently serves as Assistant Dean of Students (OSA) and Master of UTown Residence (UTR). Deeply committed to holistic education, Dr Kuan integrates his teaching and leadership in residential life to create meaningful living and learning experiences for students.

Grounded in experiential and authentic learning, he collaborates with student leaders, Resident Assistants, and community partners to foster a vibrant and inclusive residential community. From wellbeing programmes to sustainability initiatives, his approach empowers residents to grow as reflective individuals and engaged citizens. Dr Kuan is widely recognised for his thoughtful mentorship and passion for building communities that support a strong sense of belonging, purpose, and lifelong learning.

Dr Kuan is on the Honour Roll of the NUS Annual Teaching Excellence Award (ATEA) and Residential College Teaching Excellence Award (RCTEA).

Residential Wellness Manager

Adrian Wan

As Residential Wellness Manager (RWM), Adrian provides social and emotional support to students staying in UTown Residence (UTR). Adrian also works with UTR student leaders to organise outreach and wellness events to promote self-care and community-care among the UTR residents.
