Competition Background

The 10th edition of the Envision the Future BOE Global Campus Innovation Challenge is hosted by BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. and guided by the LCD Branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Manufacturers Association. This competition is a global platform for technological innovation, open to university students around the world.

Since its launch in 2015, the BOE Global Campus Innovation Challenge has marked a decade of progress. It has attracted over 2,000 teams from more than 300 universities worldwide, covering cutting-edge fields such as display technology, the Internet of Things, and smart medical engineering.

The competition aims to promote deep integration among industry, academia, and research, empower the transformation of youth innovation, and showcase the technical ingenuity and commercial potential of the next generation at the forefront of science and technology.

We encourage university students to participate by forming teams of 2 to 5 members. The competition centres around BOE’s semiconductor display business, expanding through its integrated “1+4+N + Ecosystem” model—encompassing MLED, sensor technologies and solutions, IoT innovation, and smart healthcare engineering.

Participants are invited to develop innovative products, apply frontier technologies, and propose original solutions rooted in real-world application scenarios. The goal is to reimagine the future—and transform everyday life through technology.

Competition Format

Participating teams from each region will present their projects in the form of a project proposal. These submissions will be evaluated and scored online by a panel of expert judges. Based on the evaluation results, winners of the preliminary round will be announced along with the list of finalists advancing to the Global Finals.

The Global Finals will take place at BOE Technology Group’s headquarters in Beijing, where final awards will be determined through a combination of live presentations and final defence scores. The most outstanding teams will be crowned as winners.
