OUR ORIGIN STORY
Would you believe if we were to tell that one of our first creative production team just had two people? Mustering up the courage to do our very first video remains vividly fresh in the memories of launching REx for the very first time- A simple idea to follow an Instagram trend on "Directed by Wes Anderson" template commenced an interactive peregrination of inquisitive experimentation, active perseverance and the pursuit for strategic improvement. What incepted as a team of two ignited the next wave of inspiring creators where REx programme witnessed several dedicated students who joined us onboard, unleashing a powerhouse of talent, vision and creativity, championing the spirit of research.
The REx Production Crew (formerly know as REx Publicity Team, is where student voices take flight — a platform that brings hidden talents to light, with the intention of creating awareness and promoting undergraduate research among students. As the team grew, ideas that had been brewing finally took shape, with our production crew publishing their first narrative REx Conference video ad on the LED screens of the Medicine Science Library. UGRC takes utmost pride in our student leaders, who always strive to produce meaningful content in the most impactful and insightful way possible.
Beyond the lens and clapboard, the REx Production Crew brings research to life — not just behind the scenes, but out in the open. From lively roadshows to hands-on outreach, our crew champions peer-led learning and creates spaces where student research journeys are supported, celebrated, and seen.
