As an educator, I believe that we are role models to our students and I strive to be personable in my teaching, helping my students enjoy the process of learning and making a difference to ideas that are meaningful to them. In my classroom, I bring life into my lessons by guiding my students to challenge their assumptions and creating safe spaces for them to talk, listen, pause and reflect. I also make learning experiences unique for my students through improvisational elements where I observe, adapt and spontaneously fine tune my instructional delivery based on my live interactions with the class.

I am excited to become a member of the academy and the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded educators to look at the developmental skills and competencies that our students gain when they engage in interdisciplinary learning. Drawing on my background in Psychology, I hope to explore how mindsets make a difference in shaping students’ perception towards interdisciplinarity and their ability to adapt to the needs of the world. At the same time, I am also keen to interact with our fellow members, reflect and improve my own teaching practice.
