The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy offers a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy.
- The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD):
This Ph.D. programme is designed to strengthen the capability and effectiveness of students in researching complex multi-dimensional policy issues. It will equip them with the necessary theoretical frameworks, research methods and tools to conduct scientific inquiry to address contemporary public policy issues.

Requirements
The PhD programme is conducted on a full-time basis. To graduate, a PhD student must complete the following:
- 6 Core modules
- 3 Elective Courses
- 2 Common courses for NUS graduate research students
- PhD Qualifying Examination
- PhD Thesis and Oral Defence
Students are expected to complete the programme in 4 years.
