Research interests

Xiaoxuan’s research focuses on improving fire management practices and estimating carbon emissions in tropical regions. Her work aims to mitigate the environmental impacts of forest fires, protect biodiversity, and support sustainable forest management through advanced remote sensing techniques.

Biography

Before joining CNCS, Xiaoxuan was involved in the SDGSAT-1 Thermal Infrared Spectrometer (TIS) project supporting the Sustainable Development Goals. She is currently working on the development of a multi-source satellite data framework for fire risk monitoring in tropical forests.
