Biography

In CNCS, I have been working with a cross-platform workflow we developed to obtain reliable plot inventory measurements from forest LiDAR data, validating its accuracy with in-situ field data while estimating aboveground biomass of tropical forests. In addition, I have guided students on their projects on exploring the differences in tree architecture between forest and urban landscapes, and how leaf area index (LAI) differs between primary and secondary forests.

Previously during my undergraduate years, I undertook an Honours Thesis (HT) project on seagrasses, specifically on their sediment trapping ability as an ecosystem service. As part of my research, I worked with NUS-TMSI to run seawater flume tests, while conducting drone and field surveys at Eagle's Bay (Lazarus Island) to better understand how this mechanism of seagrasses can shape coastal morphology. I love photography and videography as well, capturing moments in my life and recording beautiful memories with my media. I do play pool/billiards and jog during my leisure time.
