Preventative examinations such as health screenings are important elements to your individual wellness. When conducted routinely, you can be equipped with the knowledge required to take preventative measures in improving or enhancing your health. Early detection of risks may also help lower disease rates and assist with a sustainable plan that would help achieve a healthier you.
UHC offers students and staff health screening packages that can be tailored to your specific needs such as your age, gender and risk factors. If you are unsure of what health screening tests are suitable for your needs, we recommend that you consult with your physician before proceeding with a suitable health screening package,
Screenings at UHC are conducted in the mornings, Mondays to Fridays.
Please walk in between 8.30am to 10.00am; no appointment is required.
For any health screening, we recommend that you fast for at least eight (8) hours prior to the test.
Health Screening Packages for Your Age
Before you embark on your next screening, it is important to select screening tests that are suited to your current needs. Following are the available tests that you may consider including in your next screening package.

Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT)
UHC is distributing Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT)* kits to eligible NUS Staff (Singaporeans and Permanent Residents). FIT is a quick and convenient screening test that helps to detect colorectal cancer early through the presence of blood in stools. Individuals without any symptoms of colorectal cancer are encouraged to undergo FIT once a year.

- Free for all NUS staff & dependents of staff who fulfil the following criteria, in accordance with the Health Promotion Board, Singapore:
Singaporeans & Permanent Residents, aged 50 and above (based on calendar year)
Have no existing bleeding issues
Have not done a FIT screening in the last 12 months
Have not done a Colonoscopy in the last 10 years
Staff may collect their kits at the Wellness Outreach office (Specialist Wing), UHC.
Staff will need to email UHC Wellness at firstname.lastname@example.org to make an appointment for collection beforehand.
Staff may collect for themselves or on behalf of their dependents.
Please bring along your NUS staff ID & NRIC/dependent’s NRIC (original/photocopy/digital) for admin purposes.
Staff who are not eligible may like to visit a GP/private clinic to do the test at their own cost.
