The Academy Masterclass Speaker Series was first mooted by the 1st Executive Council of the NUS Teaching Academy in 2009. The plan is to bring a person of international eminence in education for the following purposes:<\/p>\n

  1. \n
      \n
    1. To enhance the TA’s external visibility as an enterprise that sees value in educational research and practices research-based education.<\/li>\n
    2. To facilitate the exchange of ideas, expertise and perspectives in education, policies, pedagogy and innovations with TA fellows, faculty members and the university administration.<\/li>\n
    3. To catalyse an internal culture of research-based education and educational research.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Lee Shulman received the BA, MA and PhD from the University of Chicago.
