Programme Structure / 2015 Cohort

##: NUS will adopt three new academic terminologies from 1 August 2023 - “Module” will be renamed “Course”, “Modular Credit (MC)” will be renamed “Unit”, and “Cumulative Average Point (CAP)” will be renamed “Grade Point Average (GPA)”. The definition of a Module/Course and MC/Unit will remain the same, and there will be no change to the computation of the CAP/GPA.

Note 1: Students must read 3 FASS Exposure modules - one from each of the 3 Divisions, namely: Asian Studies, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Please refer to this link for more information: http://www.fas.nus.edu.sg/fass-subject.html

Note 2: In order to fulfil CNM Elective Major Modules, students must read:

  • A minimum of 24 MCs of NM modules (excluding NM1101E, NM2101, NM2103, NM2104, NM4102)
  • A minimum of 20 MCs of level 3000 modules
  • A maximum of 2 level 4000 NM modules (subject to department's approval)
  • Not more than 20 modules if recognised modules are read

Note 3: DDP students who have read EC1101E / EC1301 are still required to read BSP1005. Preclusion of EC1101E/EC1301 for BSP1005 is removed. Hence, you should read EC1101E / EC1301 before reading BSP1005.

Note 4: Students who are not able to find a common topic for the integrated dissertation/thesis are to read one thesis and one dissertation to fulfill the degree requirements of Business and CNM respectively.
