University Entrance Examinations

The 2022 University Entrance Examination (UEE) will be suspended due to international travel and safe distancing restrictions that must be observed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Admission to the undergraduate courses for students who are currently in Year 12 of their High School studies will be based on their Year 11 and Year 12 High School graduation examination results.

All applicants are also required to present an acceptable English test score (such as IELTS or TOEFL) for admissions consideration. Upon receiving the final High School graduation examination results, you should upload a copy of the examination results at the Applicant Portal. You should visit the OAM website to check on the timeline for submission of your examination results.

Q1.    Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will NUS conduct the 2022 University Entrance Examination (UEE) in Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore?

Ans.    The UEE 2022 will be suspended due to international travel and safe distancing restrictions that must be observed in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Admission to the undergraduate courses for these students who will complete their High School studies in 2022, will be based on their Year 11, Semester 2 and Year 12, Semester 1 High School academic results.

They are also required to present either IELTS or TOEFL scores for admissions consideration. Q2.    If I have not taken an acceptable English Test, can I submit the English results after the Admissions application deadline?

Ans.    Applicants can submit an accepted English Language test score (eg. IELTS, TOEFL) for assessment by no later than 14 February 2022 via the Applicant Portal.


Q3.    Will NUS conduct the UEE in 2023?

The university will decide on the conduct of UEE with consideration to any international travel and safe distancing restrictions.
