Residential College Bursaries

The value of each bursary is at least $3,950 per annum.

Needy full-time undergraduates residing in and reading the College Programme at the Cinnamon College (NUSC), College of Alice & Peter Tan, Residential College 4, Ridge View Residential College and Tembusu College.

Eligibility is dependent on the assessed level of neediness of the applicant.

These bursaries will be offered from July onwards and are funded by donations.

Successful recipients are required to: 

1.    submit appreciation letters to donors;

2.    meet-up session with donors (if requested); and

3.    provide assistance at Faculty, Residential Colleges or University events (if requested) 

The recipient must not concurrently hold any other bursary or scholarship or free aid without approval from the University at any time for the same academic year.

The University reserves the right to withdraw the bursary if the recipient is found to be holding a concurrent bursary or scholarship or free aid without the approval from the University at any time for the same academic year.

Award is tenable for one year. A fresh application is required each academic year. The bursary will only be disbursed if accommodation fees and tuition fees are charged. The bursary will be used to offset your accommodation fees directly. Half of the bursary will be disbursed in Semester 1 and the remainder will be disbursed in Semester 2 of the academic year.

Upon satisfactory compliance of all terms and conditions of the Residential College Bursary, the funds will be disbursed by the Office of Finance twice yearly in half around September and February each year.  All fees due to the University will however be deducted from such funds prior to crediting.
