The Master of Medicine offered by the Division of Graduate Medical Studies (DGMS) is based on two to four years of clinical training in approved training hospitals. Assessments are based on multi-format examinations and generally taken by doctors during their training (known as Residency Training) towards becoming specialists.<\/p>\n

    DGMS also offers short one-to-two-week examination preparatory courses to specifically help candidates prepare for their examinations.     From 01 April 2026, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine has commenced its centralisation exercise for all non-medical CET programs. Therefore, from this date onwards, all non-medical CET programs and courses previously offered by DGMS will be gradually transitioned to the Division of Graduate Studies (DGS). As the transition phase is still taking place, all current non-medical CET programs will still be administered jointly by DGMS and DGS. From 01 August 2026, all DGMS non-medical CET courses will be run fully by DGS. DGMS will continue to run all clinician CET programs and clinician Graduate Diploma courses.\u00a0 More details will be uploaded onto our DGMS website in due course.<\/p>\n

    The Master of Clinical Mental Health and Psychotherapy (MCMHP) at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine is a full-time (1.5 years) postgraduate programme designed for social service and healthcare professionals. This coursework-based programme features specialisation in mental health conditions, psychology interventions, psychotherapy, counselling, and case and care coordination.<\/p>\n

    Developed in response to the growing demand for trained mental health professionals in Singapore and the region, the programme equips students with essential skills in research, screening and assessment for common mental health disorders, core therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and systemic\/family therapy, and clinical skills workshops in evidence-informed therapies including IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).<\/p>\n

    The Master of Science (Speech and Language Pathology) programme is a two-year professional qualification course designed for graduates from any discipline who seek careers as Speech and Language Therapists. Students will be equipped to work with children and adults who have speech, language, swallowing, voice, and fluency disorders. The curriculum includes an emphasis on the unique communication needs of bilingual and multicultural populations. Problem-based learning, with local case studies, provides the foundation for the academic courses. Students also complete a research project relevant to evidence-based practice and have opportunities to work with a range of children and adults over four clinical placements. More than 200 graduates to date have qualified from the programme and have successfully joined social service organisations, schools, hospitals, and private centres upon graduation.<\/p>\n

    This graduate-entry programme addresses the public demand for locally trained Audiologists. It is the only coursework-based study of its kind in Singapore and is offered in collaboration with the University of Melbourne. It is customised with a distinct Asian framework and distinguishes itself from other programmes by incorporating a multi-disciplinary approach with related courses covering psychology, public health, engineering, business, and innovation. Students are given the opportunity to integrate academics, clinical practice, and research, which will be carried out in a purpose-built facility, clinic and in collaboration with government research institutes, universities, industry and international partners.<\/p>\n

    The Master of Nursing (MN) curriculum offered by NUS reflects the current healthcare needs and the importance of advanced nursing practice.<\/p>\n

    Students receive advanced clinical knowledge, skills and acquired professional attitude from a range of disciplines in advanced nursing practice, clinical medicine, social sciences, and public health. Students acquire and apply learnt knowledge and skills not only on campus but also in clinical practice settings. Upon successful completion of the MN programme, graduates are eligible to apply for Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) provisional license with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) to continue with a 12-month Integrated APN Internship (IAI).<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

    This programme aims to enable MN graduate to perform the nine APN core Entrusted Professional Activities (EPAs) at the expected level of entrustment (LOE). They will acquire knowledge, skills and attitude to build their capabilities in the five competencies domains determined by SNB: Patient care, Clinical knowledge, Interpersonal and communication skills, Practice-based learning and improvement, and Professionalism.<\/p>\n

    Applicants must fulfil both academic requirements and SNB admission requirement to the Master of Nursing programme. Applicants may need to attend admission interview based on the admission process.<\/p>\n

    Application opens from 1 Aug \u2013 15 Sept every year.<\/p>\n
