The MCI programme also provides an excellent foundation for those aiming to pursue advanced clinical research training, including PhD degree programmes. Assessments are based on multi-format examinations and generally taken by doctors during their training (known as Residency Training) towards becoming specialists.<\/p>\n<p>The Master of Medicine degree is offered in the following specialties\/disciplines:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Anaesthesiology<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic Radiology<\/li>\n<li>Emergency Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Family Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Internal Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Obstetrics &amp; Gynaecology<\/li>\n<li>Ophthalmology<\/li>\n<li>Orthopaedic Surgery<\/li>\n<li>Otorhinolaryngology<\/li>\n<li>Paediatric Medicine<\/li>\n<li>Psychiatry (hiatus)<\/li>\n<li>Surgery<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>DGMS also offers short one-to-two-week examination preparatory courses to specifically help candidates prepare for their examinations for certain specialties.
