Overview<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree is not only an undergraduate honours degree; it is also a professional degree that is recognised for admission to practice in Singapore. Our graduates have also been admitted to practice in Malaysia,\u00a0in several Commonwealth jurisdictions such as Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom, and some states in the United States such as California and New York. The programme is open to both Singaporean and international students.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Degrees Offered<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

There are two programmes in the Faculty of Law, available on a full-time basis, leading to the LLB (Hons) degree:<\/p>\n

Admission to the Four-Year LLB Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n

The detailed requirements for admission can be found on the NUS Office of Admissions website at:\u00a0http:\/\/nus.edu.sg\/oam\/apply-to-nus.html<\/a>. Admission requirements vary, depending on the qualifications presented for admissions. Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for a written test and an interview, usually held in mid-April in Singapore.\u00a0Selection shall be solely based on the discretion of the University and will depend upon the number of places available in the Faculty.<\/p>\n

Admission to the Three-Year Graduate LLB Programme (GLB) – Last intake in AY2020\/2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

The objective of this programme is to inject multidisciplinary expertise into the legal profession, which increasingly requires more sophisticated and technical knowledge in many areas. Applicants must be prepared to do the course full-time for three years and complete a minimum total of 120 credits.<\/p>\n

Shortlisted applicants will be required to sit for a written test and attend a formal interview. Selection shall be solely within the discretion of the University and will depend upon the number of places available in the Faculty.<\/p>\n

Curriculum Structure & Degree Requirements<\/h4>\n\t\t\t

Bachelor of Laws (Undergraduate Compulsory Core Curriculum)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The LLB degree is an honours degree. Students in the four year LLB programme must complete a minimum total of 160 credits in four years. Students in the Graduate LLB Programme must complete a minimum total of 120 credits in three years.<\/p>\n
