It collaborates closely with different initiatives and programmes as well as leading analytical equipment industries to bring the latest advanced analytical and spectroscopic instruments. The instruments will allow researchers to unravel and discover mysteries in their respective research and identify traces of organic and inorganic compounds that may be previously undetected. Also, the NERI Laboratory has a comprehensive sample preparation facility that expedites the clean-up and extraction from complex sample matrices.<\/p>\n<p>The NERI Laboratory is managed by a team of dedicated and experienced technical and research staff. They provide expertise in assisting the NUS community and industry engaged with NERI doing environmental research. They are also committed in ensuring a high standard of occupational safety and health for staff and researchers.<\/p>\n\t<h3>Exchange of Technical Knowledge<\/h3>\n<p>As a focal point for NUS researchers on environmental research, NERI&#8217;s laboratory is also a facility where researchers from multi-disciplines (biologists, bioinformatics engineers, analytical chemists, toxicologists, chemical and biomolecular engineers and environmental engineers) gather and exchange technical knowledge to enhance research in their respective fields. The more experienced research staff will often interact with postgraduates to provide guidance and advice in their respective research studies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\t\n\t\n\t<strong>Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography &#8211;<br \/>\nOrbitrap Mass Spectrometer\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(UPLC-Q trap MS)<\/strong>\n\t<strong>Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography &#8211;<br \/>\nQQQ Mass Spectrometer (UPLC-QQQ)<\/strong>\n\t<strong>Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography &#8211;<br \/>\nQToF Mass Spectrometer (UPLC-QToF)<\/strong>\n<h6><strong>Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography &#8211; Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer<br \/>\n(UPLC-Orbitrap MS)<\/strong><\/h6>\n\t<strong>Gas Chromatography-QQQ Mass Spectrometer<br \/>\n(GC-QQQ)<\/strong>\n\n\t<strong>Gas Chromatography-QToF Mass Spectrometer<br \/>\n(GC-QToF)<\/strong>\n\t<strong>Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer<br \/>\n(ICP-MS)<\/strong>\n\t\nAll new users must complete the following before access to NERI&#8217;s facilities and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/aces.nus.edu.sg\/fbs\/jsp\/login.jsp\">online equipment booking system<\/a>\u00a0can be granted:<br \/>\ni.
