Participants shared their research and experience, discussed challenges and solutions, and to explore collaborative approaches to urban greening and water sustainability.<\/p>\r\n<p>The highlights of the program included the opportunity to visit two study sites; one at <strong>Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong> whereby Assoc. Prof. Sanjay Swarup and his research team have been conducting extensive studies to understand the role and functions of microbes in urban waterways;\u00a0 and the other at the <strong>Tropical Technologies Laboratory (T\u00b2 Lab) at Kent Vale, <\/strong>where Asst Prof. Ali Ghahramani and his team explore the integration of passive and active building systems to improve the living environment.<\/p>\r\n<p>This two-day workshop aiming to foster innovations in science and technology with policy planning and in-depth understanding of the social sciences was jointly organised by NUS Environmental Research Institute (NERI), Centre des Politiques de la Terre (CPT), and the Paris-NUS Program.
