Lak is interested in studying disease dynamics at the human-wildlife interface and the application of novel technologies for the same. His other interests include indigenous health, focusing on forest-dwelling communities and health equity.<\/p>\n

Biography<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lak is a Research Associate with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, where he provides research support to the Climate Impact Science Research project under the Climate, Environment, and Health Program. This project aims to better understand the long-term environmental and anthropogenic drivers influencing major mosquito vectors, and subsequent transmission of endemic and emerging mosquito-borne diseases in Singapore. His research centers around mapping and monitoring potential wildlife hosts in Singapore, focusing on long-tailed macaques, and tracking human presence across green spaces during peak vector biting times.<\/p>\n
