I study greenhouse gas fluxes to better understand their carbon storage and emissions dynamics. I am also interested in how biodiversity credits\u00a0can be leveraged to incentivize conservation of blue carbon ecosystem to enhance both ecological and climate resilience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biography<\/strong><\/p>\nJamie was trained in social science at NUS, studying Geography. Subsequently, she joined UBS Bank as a Product Manager and was introduced to carbon credits and other sustainable banking products. Her interest in carbon credits grew and she started researching on blue carbon. Jamie then did an exchange in CSIRO&#8217;s (Australia&#8217;s National Science Agency) Indian Ocean Blue Carbon Hub as a visiting scientist with Dr. Mat Vanderklift. She researched on biodiversity credits as her research project. As part of the Early Career Oceans Professionals Programme, Jamie was further introduced to other field scientists in blue carbon. At the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions, she is conducting field research for a large regional blue carbon project funded by Temasek Holdings.
