To this end, she is working on optimising methods for estimating and monitoring the region&#8217;s carbon stocks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biography <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Annabel is a PhD student at the Centre for Nature-based Climate Solutions, with a background in conservation ecology, geospatial modelling and science communication. Her previous research includes systematic conservation planning to safeguard dipterocarp forests under projected future climate change, as well as exploratory studies on eco-friendly antifouling solutions, for which she received the EXPLORE! Young Marine Scientist Research Award.<\/p>\n<p>In the realm of co-curriculars, Annabel was a Core Team member of the NUS Environmental Biology Interest Group (EVBig) and a member of NUS Toddycats, where she regularly engaged the public and study body through nature walks, symposiums and seminars.
