The 90-minute workshop, Building<\/i> Bridges – <\/i>Communicating and Collaborating Effectively in Culturally Diverse Teams<\/i>, was conducted by Yurni Said-Sirhan<\/a> on 14 November 2022 at the Central Library Training Room as part of the Oral Communication Workshop series by the NUS Writing and Communication Hub<\/a>. The 19 participants who attended the highly interactive workshop came from diverse backgrounds – undergraduates, postgraduates, academic as well as executive staff – enabling the simulation of culturally diverse teams. Through a case study discussion, participants became aware of potential bias that could impede communication and teamwork, and discussed ways to overcome cultural barriers to form effective teams.<\/p>\r\n\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
