EFFECTIVE VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS<\/h3>\n

Telecommuting is expected to be widely adopted in the new normal post Covid-19 lockdown. The virtual environment presents unique challenges to presenters who are used to speaking in the physical presence of a live audience. In a virtual environment, a speaker’s audience engagement strategies through eye contact, gestures, and proximity to a live audience are limited.\u00a0 To further compound the challenge, the lack of visual responses and feedback from virtual audiences can be daunting for even a seasoned speaker. This course aims to teach participants strategies for engaging and connecting with the virtual audience.<\/p>\n

\n\t\tLEARNING OUTCOMES\n\t<\/h4>\n\t

Course participants are expected to be able to apply the following skills in virtual workplace interactions<\/p>\n1. apply strategies to engage a virtual audience through content, vocal and visual elements
\n2. demonstrate use of persuasive strategies in their virtual presentations
\n3. employ rhetorical tools, including storytelling, in virtual presentations
\n4. demonstrate knowledge of strategies for handling challenging questions\n
