EPP1 - Engineering Principles and Practices (Embedded)
Description & Objectives
A series of workshops on professional communication practices are embedded into the undergraduate degree programmes across all departments at the Faculty of Engineering. Based on the content of various engineering courses, students are taught a range oral and written communication skills to meet the demands of courses in an academic context, and in the engineering industry. More specifically, this course aims to train students to:
- articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences in oral communication;
- apply technical writing skills in using appropriate infographics to present ideas, as well as explaining ideas, concepts and data with conciseness,
- precision, coherence, and cohesion in a range of writing tasks.
- communicate effectively with a diverse range of audiences.
