Biodata
Dr. Tracy ZOU is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Administration and Policy, Faculty of Education at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Tracy served as a teaching associate at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong, She has been actively engaged in identifying, collecting, and promoting exemplary teaching and learning practices in HKU and beyond through a community of practice approach. She is currently leading a number of teaching and learning projects to promote cross-institutional collaboration on internationalisation and interdisciplinarity.
Being an advocate of teaching and research integration, Tracy has been using her research and SoTL efforts to underpin the above teaching development work. Her research publications (http://hub.hku.hk/cris/rp/rp01998) have appeared in reputable journals such as Higher Education, Studies in Higher Education, and Higher Education Research & Development. Her SoTL work has resulted in teaching resources, such as guidelines and briefings (https://www.cetl.hku.hk/cop-itl/resource-library/briefings/). Her current interests include academic development, teaching and research nexus, and internationalisation of the curriculum.
Tracy is highly committed to serving the professional community. Other than serving on the editorial board of AJSoTL, she also serves as an associate editor of the International Journal for Academic Development, a review editor of Frontiers in Education, and the editor of Teaching and Learning Connections (a teaching-focused e-newsletter in HKU). She is also an auditor of Quality Assurance Audits under the University Grants Committee of Hong Kong.
