Li  Liufang,  late  Ming
Folding   fan,   ink   on   paper,   54cm   by   21cm,   dated    1602,
bearing  artist's  seal  as   well  as  those  of  two  collectors.

The  subject  seems  to  be  the  confluence  of  two  streams  with
landscape in  triangular  formation  from the  mid-point  close  to
the  lower  edge  of   the  fan  and  fanning  upwards  to  terminate
at  about  the  upper arc of  the  fan.   All  this  done in the artist's
typical  calligraphic  brushwork.
