What to do in an Emergency
Depending upon the nature, location, and timing of an emergency, your options are:
Call the Campus Security who will assess the situation and contact the relevant personnel. You may call Campus Security when emergencies occur on campus after hours and on weekends, especially if you are needing Civil Defence services:

There are emergency situations (psychological crisis) where students/staff may require same-day intervention. During office hours, you can walk-in to meet with the counsellor-on-call at the Centre. This counsellor also mans the 24-hour, 6516 7777 .

To prevent misuse of the services, below are some examples of emergency situations (psychological crisis). When student/staff:
is having suicidal intentions
is experiencing severe panic or anxiety attacks
is dealing with news of death or severe injury to family / colleagues
is traumatised or disoriented from recent physical violence

When in doubt, please call the counselling mainline at 6516 2376 to clarify with a staff.
