  About Us
The Counselling Centre became a division of the University Health, Wellness and Counselling Centre (UHWC) in January 2006. Later that year it moved to more tranquil surroundings and spacious accommodations at Alumni House.

Prior to this, as a division of the Office of Students Affairs (OSA), the Centre was known as Personal Guidance and Counselling Service (PGCS), which had been in existence for many years.

As its services expanded to meet the university's current needs, the Counselling Centre became more visible and the team of professional counsellors increased in numbers, diversity and talent.

Rigorous professional ethics guide the counselling team. Added to this, we always take into account the client’s best interests, and acknowledge, respect and affirm the strength in each client.

In challenging and difficult times, let us offer you a pair of fresh eyes, a listening ear, a supportive hand and … most importantly, our presence as companions on your journey.
