The Health Promotion Board recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity per week for adults to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Walking is thus a good form of exercise to work towards this. The University Health Centre (UHC) Wellness division officially initiated the feetNUS Walking Club in March 2011 to encourage staff to lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Since its launch, an average of 10 to 20 members would meet every Thursday at 6.30pm at the UHC car park to participate in the hour-long walking session. Join us! |
