Alternately, take a break in your week and participate in our relaxation workshops. Back by popular demand, we have added more slots for the year!

Emotional Resilience (Registration Closed)

Need to bounce back? When one is under immese stress or experiencing a crisis, it may be difficult to adapt to a stressful situation. Adjusting to University (Registration Closed)

This brief one-hour workshop introduces the concept of environmental and psychological adjustment using a combination of experiential and small group discussions. It could be helpful for all incoming NUS students as well as those who are entering a new phase of their university life (eg. from coursework to practicum; preparing for transitions, new to Singapore, NUS, or its environment). Depending on the make-up of the eventual participants, some customisation may be made to cater to specific interests and needs. Facilitator will seek input from the class on the day of the talk/workshop itself.

I’m New and Adaptable*!

University can be seen as a place with diversity of culture. To adapt to a new culture may not be an easy or comfortable process. Each individual will cope differently in a new environment. Through the materials and information shared during this group work, participants may be able to adjust and adapt to the NUS culture better.

Caregiver Support Group – Caring for Person with Mental Illness*

Are you a main caregiver for your loved one with mental health issues? Do you feel alone in your caregiving journey? Do you need support? If so, please sign up for this support group and meet with fellow caregivers taking care of a person with mental illness.

Caregiving can be challenging especially if you are juggling dual roles as a full time student and main caregiver. Together with a UCS counsellor, this group serves to assist you to cope in your caregiving role by sharing useful knowledge and providing support especially if group members are caregivers for someone with the same illness as your care recipient.

Through your participation, you will discover that you are not alone in your caregiving journey.

Frequency 4 sessions, 2 hours each
