Mr Lee heads the Physical Planning and Management unit in the Office of the Vice President (Campus Infrastructure). The unit oversees the physical planning matters relating to the campus physical environment.

In supporting the University's goal for a green sustainable campus, the team helps in formulating policies & master planning guidelines to guide campus long term physical development. Other responsibilities include overseeing the land use and land leases matters relating to the campuses.

Since joining the university in 2001, Mr Lee has the opportunity to be involved in many university's planning projects including The NUS High School; NUSS-Alumni-BIZ Complex; LKY School of Public Policy; Bukit Timah Campus; Graduate Medical School @ Outram; University Town @ Ex-Warren; Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE); Proposed Liberal Arts College (LAC) and other minor campus planning works. His works entail him to work closely with various external agencies such as URA, SLA, MOE, LTA, NParks, MOF & MFA etc on campus wide matters such as land alienation, Park Connector Network (PCN) under the 2003 URA Special Detailed Control Plan (SDCP) & Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiative by MOF etc.

A Registered Architect with the Board of Architect (BOA), Singapore, Mr Lee a proud graduate of NUS also holds a Master of Urban Design & Development (MUDD) from The University of New South Wales (UNSW). He was in private architectural practices before joining NUS as Senior Architect in year 2001. He enjoys time with his family and church, and also volunteers with a charitable organization.
