Nomination Procedure for University Researcher Awards
- Self-nomination is permitted. Nominations should stress the overall achievements of the nominee(s) and their significance; this can be backed up by bibliometric data (citations, H-index etc) as appropriate.
- To nominate, please complete the attached Nomination Form and send it to the Department's HOD (Please check with your respective HOD on deadline).
- Details of nomination and selection procedure and the schedule are provided in the Nomination Procedure.
- A recipient of either award is not eligible within the same category for a period of three years. Any new nominations within the same category will be judged solely on the research completed after the previous award.
- If Faculties/Schools and RI/Cs opt not to participate this year, or if no suitable award winner can be identified, a nil reply will be much appreciated.
- The Research Excellence Award Committee convened by Deputy President (Research & Technology), will review the nominated candidates. Final recommendations of the Committee will be presented to the University Committee for consideration.
- The University Committee, chaired by Provost, will make the final selection of the award winners.
- Nominees will be notified in early March the following year on the outcome of the selection.
