Nomination Procedure for University Researcher Awards

1. Self nomination is permitted.
2. Nomination for University Researcher Awards is conducted concurrently with the staff performance review process.
3. To nominate, please complete the attached nomination form and send it to the Department’s HOD by mid-August 2008.
4. Details of nomination & selection procedure and the schedule are provided in this PDF file.
5. A recipient of either award is not eligible within the same category for a period of three years. Any new nominations within the same category will be judged solely on the research completed after the previous award.
6. If Faculties/Schools and RICs opt not to participate this year, or if no suitable award winner can be identified, a nil reply will be much appreciated.
7. The University Committee, chaired by Provost, will make the final selection of the award winners.
8. All nominees short-listed for submission to DRA will be invited to attend the award presentation ceremony to be held in April/May 2009.
9. Nominees will be notified in end-Jan 2009 of the outcome of the selection.
