Service to Nation & International Community

Collaborating in a research project on Avian Influenza and other zoonotic diseases for the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law
Introduced environmental law to the Faculty of Law in 1994 as well as promoted the development of environmental law courses for both the public and private sectors in Singapore
Assisted IUCN-CEL in establishing regional and partner centres in environmental law all over the world when she was IUCN-CEL Regional Vice Chair for South and East Asia (1996-2004)
Co-editor of Capacity Building for Environmental Law in the Asian and Pacific Region: Approaches and Resources (2 vols, 1874 pages, 2nd edition 2003), considered one of the most useful environmental law text ever produced
