The July 2006 programme had attracted a total of 40 students from Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Tsinghua University, Sun Yat-Sen University and Wuhan University.
The participants attended a series of lectures ranging from People and Culture, Government & Politics, Economic Development, Monetary Policies to Entrepreneurship Development conducted by academic staff from NUS. Participants visited the Housing & Development Board, Public Service Division, International Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Exchange Ltd, eSys Technologies Group who had recently won the Ernst & Young Entreprenuer of the Year Award and home grown entrepreneurs’ companies like Qian Hu Fish Farm, Lynk Biotechnologies and Cygenics (a cell therapy services company).
In addition, the NUS team buddies lined up exciting evening activities to bring the delegates to the local tourist attractions for an experience of Singapore’s multi-cultural and vibrant city.
